$216,000 worth of contracts awarded to 27 producers

Press Release
May 2007

The Georgia Grazing Lands Conservation Coalition would like to thank all 45 applicants for their submissions. The applicants were reviewed in depth and 27 producers for contracts totaling $216,000 of cost share dollars will be awarded. We deem this year’s efforts a huge success!
Thanks goes to all the NRCS, Extension agents, GGLCC members and, once again, the applicants. A special thanks goes to Dennis Chessman, State Grazing Land Specialist for NRCS, and GCA for their efforts.
The Georgia Grazing Lands Conservation Coalition (GGLCC) was organized in 1996 in response to national activities emphasizing grazing land management.
Following in the footsteps of the Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative (GLCI) National Steering Committee, the GGLCC is a steering committee of livestock and forage producers that represent some of the strongest and most active conservation and producer groups in Georgia.
